Handmade Jewellery from Danish Designer Mette Scherning
Mette Scherning masters the art of designing unique jewellery using materials such as gold, silver, ruthenium, enamel and porcelain. Mette Scherning's jewellery collection testifies to her sensuousness and understanding of materials, enabling her to design small, iconic pieces.
A keen observer of life around her, Mette pools all her impressions to create her two annual collections. Jewellery collections which strike a fine balance between simplicity, ruggedness and the utmost femininity. No two pieces are alike, as they are all meticulously handcrafted. For Mette Scherning, designing a piece of jewellery is a long and careful process to find the perfect match between materials and style.
Mette Scherning launched her first jewellery collection in 2004, and now has her own studio and shop in central Copenhagen. Today, Mette Scherning ranks among the most recognised jewellery designers within her field, and her collections are sold by leading design shops in Denmark, Europe and Asia. Mette Scherning studied design at the Kolding School of Design and at the Danish Design School.
